Welcome to 2026, if you are spending time in Jalan,

Perhaps you go to Otera (shrine?) or go to see first sun rise?(hatsu hi ni de?). Or just go to shopping?

Interestingly, in Japan not many place conducts new year countdown, some shop is also closed.

But there are some special events,such as Fukubukuro.

Fukubukuro means lucky bag, where you pay specific money to purchase somethings that provided by the store, but you don’t know what is inside.

This activities is fun and quite popular by local.

When I joines this event, there were more than 500 people also joined this. The activities were conducted after 00:00 am in the first January.
